Glass Choices

Ninety nine percent of our enclosures are completed in clear glass. Most people want an unobstructed view of their tile when they walk in their bathroom. Obscure glass becomes a wall and makes their bathroom look and feel smaller. But occassionally we sell obscure glass for enclosures.

Clear Glass

Clear glass comes in many thicknesses, but 1/2" and 3/8" are all we use for frameless enclosures. It also comes in regular clear which has a slightly greenish tint (especially in the edges) and low iron, Starphire glass which has no green tint. In the picture (at right) regular glass is shown on the bottom and Starphire is on top. Starfire is more expensive and we sell mostly regular clear for that reason.

Obscure Glass

Obscure glass comes only in 3/8" thickness and is more expensive than clear glass (please call for pricing). Below are pictures that show the different patterns available in obscure glass (only the outside is patterned, the inside is smooth).
